Timeless and Modern Wedding

About the Couple

Let’s talk about Marjery and Manuel. They’re an older couple and met later in life. This was Marjery’s first wedding and she was very excited about it. Manuel had been married once before but wanted to make sure that Marjery had the wedding of her dreams- “She deserves it” he told me once. It was obvious that Manuel absolutely adored Marjery and appreciated her hard work in life. They are both physicians and chose the Platinum Package so that they didn’t have to plan everything themselves.

The Style

Marjery wanted a small and intimate wedding that focused on family. She was really into a very modern and simplistic theme with lots of candles for ambiance. She chose a slate gray and ivory for her colors with a bit of greenery to pull it all together. She was super excited about her stationery and favors that she found online and wanted everything to match that.

She worked with Andie with the Flower Studio for her arch, centerpieces and personal flowers. Everything matched the modern feel she wanted for her wedding. My favorite part was the Arch since it brought the modern feel to the venue and created such an elegant and classic vibe that really enhanced the feel of the ceremony and sweetheart table.

A Surprise Wedding Tradition

While Marjery handled most of the planning like inviting their guests and coming up with the style of their wedding, Manuel did want to surprise Marjery with one additional item. He contracted with a Mariachi Band to come in during dinner to go around the tables and sign to the guests like they would have if they were sticking to their wedding traditions. We never told Marjery that this was happening and she was so surprised and delighted when during dinner as she and Manuel sat down that the band entered and started playing. It was a wonderful way to incorporate some of their traditions and especially to give Marjery a little surprise that made her wedding so much more memorable for her.

Final Thoughts

Marjery and Manuel’s wedding was such a fun and family focused event. Every little detail matched perfectly with their look and it really complimented the couple’s personality - classy and sophisticated. I enjoyed working with them throughout the entire planning process and Marjery’s excitement for planning her wedding was infectious.
