Industrial Wedding: Burnt Orange, Greenery and Black
Words from the Coordinator...
What can I tell you about Erin and Chase? Erin and Chase had one of the most fun personalities in a couple I have worked with in a while. From the moment they toured (and they toured with me twice before making their decision on venue) you could tell that they were completely in love. They joked and bantered with each other throughout the entire planning process and talked heavily about the vision that Erin had for their wedding.
Their Background
Erin and Chase met while working at a restaurant and it soon became apparent that they were perfect for each other. Erin has a bright personality, she's very bubbly but has a bit of an edgy vibe. Chase is down to earth, calm and has a great sense of humor. Their two personalities mesh great together.
At the time of the tour, Chase was working at a printing company and was able to make pretty much anything Erin wanted. This lead to a lot of discussions about how the venue could be transformed to their unique designs, and how much Chase could DIY before going crazy. They ended up choosing the Platinum Package for the convenience of having everything included and to have help with the design of the space so that Chase wasn't having to do everything. They have very busy lives working full time (and overtime) and didn't want to have to worry about creating their perfect wedding on top of their already hectic schedules.
Their Vision
Erin had a vision of burnt oranges and lots of greenery; heavy on the industrial vibes. She wanted it dark and moody but didn't want too much of a halloween feel, since they were getting married in December. We discussed their vision and the best ways to pull it off in the venue with the mixture of bricks, greenery and black walls.
They chose to use ivory linens for the tables and bring in the black and burnt oranges through the flowers, place settings and chairs to keep the space looking bright and not to have too much of a "Halloween vibe". They upgraded the package to include black chivari chairs, black chargers and gold flatware to make the tables look perfect. They then brought in their own unique centerpeices.
They found these awesome single, free-standing edison lightbulb lamps that were super unique. They had wanted to figure out a way to get them to light up by battery but unforunately ran out of time, but they still looked amazing paired with amber colored bud and wine vases filled with pompas grass, spray roses and baby blue euculyptus. Their table numbers they got from Etsy and were the names of places that Erin and Chase loved to visit.
Their Wedding
On the day of the wedding, everything was gorgeous. Erin's boho modern dress paired perfectly with Chase's darg green suite. The Triangle Arch from Cocktails Catering paired perfectly with the dark and moody flower arrangement from Atmosphere's Florals and made a gorgeous back drop for Erin and Chase's ceremony that highlighted them as well as the Vintage Industrial windows at Trellis 925. Everything flowed so well together, it felt like it was just made to be.
While the decorations were gorgeous, nothing beats their party. They had a blast on the dance floor with Orlando DJ Group mixing great songs that kept them dancing throughout the night. After hours of dancing, eating cake from Sweet Miss V's, and probably too many Old Fashions and Skinny Spicy Margaritas (their signature drinks) they ended the night being sent off under some sparklers.
Finishing Comments
I couldn't imagine a more perfect wedding for these two. Everything was exactly to their style and they were a joy to work with. Their vendors totally got their style and I hope that they have a wonderful marriage and enjoy the gorgeous dark and moody vibes of their photographer MAD Images for years to come.
